In 1907, James and Effie Dean originally planted 300 acres of dryland Bartlett, D’ Anjou pears and Newtown apples. Since our beginning, we have increased our planted acreage to 750 acres.

In 1948, the Bloxom family gained 100% ownership of Underwood Fruit and Warehouse from the Perham family. During the 1960’s and 1970’s we converted to a fully irrigated orchard using water that is diverted from the glacial flows of the White Salmon river basin.

In 1998 we expanded our presence in the Mid-Columbia area with the purchase of Elk Mountain Orchards. Elk Mt. is 110 acres of prime Hood River orchard ground that is farmed under the management of Mt Adams Orchards.
